Dr. Vanda Brink is a Clinical Psychologist with 21 years experience in private practice and is the newfound Director of Healthy Minds Melbourne. Vanda engages collaboratively with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals, drawing on evidence based therapeutic techniques such as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet each client’s individual needs. Vanda’s style is warm, insightful and empathetic, approaching clients’ problems in a direct and non-judgemental way. Vanda aims to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves in terms of what may drive mood or behaviour, how to become unstuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour, and how to connect more satisfyingly in relationships. Vanda aims to raise self-compassion in her clients, reducing harsh self-talk and encouraging empathy towards oneself. In addition to treating clients, Vanda offers Clinical Supervision to psychologists and provisional psychologists, and has provided organisational training and consultation to media and external agencies.

Jodie Roper is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in both private clinic and hospital settings with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions and personal challenges. Clients are invited to share their stories in a safe and supportive environment where mutual regard, openness and reflective practices facilitate a partnership for change. Jodie fosters a collaborative therapeutic relationship with each client, drawing on techniques from evidence based practices such as Schema, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused and Acceptance and Commitment therapies. Lian aims to create a calm, accepting and safe therapeutic space for a person to

alleviate their psychological distress. She encourages clients to develop a greater

sense of self and a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and

behaviours. Lian works collaboratively with clients to strengthen their ability to increase self-awareness to make choices that enhance their everyday well-being, psychological growth and connectedness to who and what really matters. She holds a belief in the human potential to grow on conscious and transpersonal levels. Lian works with evidence based psychological approaches such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy which are implemented according to a client’s needs, strengths and goals for therapy. She also has a special interest in integrating psychology, neurology and contemplative practices to support clients work towards Whole-Self balance and wellness. Complementing the above approaches, Lian utilises a personal and spiritual educational approach known as the Siramati Personal Growth Process to help a client work towards intended goals. This process develops self-awareness of how we are engaging in life and uses guided visualisation and other techniques to enhance clients’ health and well-being.

Julie is a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults 18+, either privately or via a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP. Julie welcomes the opportunity to build a safe, kind and supportive space with her clients to explore their experiences, feelings and challenges. She works collaboratively with her clients to find various solutions that promote their personal growth and increase their well-being for the long-term. Julie works with adults to address various difficulties such as: depression and low mood. anxiety and panic attacks, phobias, self esteem issues, psychological / emotional abuse, trauma, existential concerns and more. Julie utilises various forms of therapy, such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Trauma Based Therapy and Trauma Focused Therapy. Olivia is our organised and friendly practice manager at Healthy Minds Melbourne. She is a recent graduate from Melbourne University and has just completed her honours in psychology at Victoria University, where her thesis was awarded the second highest grade in her cohort.  Olivia also works privately as a support worker for people on NDIS.
